This was probably the best film shown this year and that is because of its immense call for action that it presents. MissRepresentation reveals to the public eye the use of females in undermining roles in media. As many already know, women in media are often portrayed as these sex freaks that are perfect and have unreal features, however, it does not portray the real world. It sets impossible standards for women and many feel a lot of pressure if they do not fit the standards. The film stated that with being unhappy with your body can lead to self harm, anxiety, depression and many other bad things. What surprised me the most was how many women are raped. 1 in 6 females are the

victims of sexual assault which is disgusting. One thing in the film I really liked was when they stated that men have it hard too because every guy in the media, is also a model. Although it isn't as bad as girls, there is still a lot of pressure for guys to conform to the ideal man, which again is decided by the media. I feel as if the best thing to do is to get more girls in powerful positions, like directors and other branches that would help create a more diverse variety of entertainment.
